Alek (8) is an avid Lego builder. When he arrived at Gatwick with Jehanne and Gabby, it was, "When are we going to Legoland?" Fortunately, we decided to go early in their visit as the weather was good. Later in the week it became cold and rainy and Alek caught a cold.Legoland is a great amusement park for the under 12s in as much as their rides are not too scary. The wait to ride though is TOO LOOOONG. Several rides had a waiting period of an hour. They also have a systems where, if you are willing to pay an extra £20 per person in addition to the hefty entrance fee, you can go straight to the front of the line - in front of all those who have lined up for the hour. I think this sucks! I think they need more rides for the numbers they admit. The line up for the toilets or food was short, so they got that right in relations to numbers. To expect children to stand on line for an hour is unreasonable. Also unreasonable was the eye-watering price of the food.
"My team" enjoyed their day as they were happy to go on climbing frames, have a painted face and build at the creativity centre, which they elected to do as they were frustrated by the long, slow moving lines. They did not rate Legoland as the highlight of their visit, which I can understand.
