When I told a friend I had a JR, she commented, "Escape artist." I boasted that my yard was secure with chain link fencing reinforced with 2x2 mesh. I noticed a few days ago that Aris was at the fence making friends with the neighbour's cat. They made gentle noises. Aris would stick his nose through the fencing and the cat would extend a paw; both cautious and withdrawing before contact.
Yesterday Aris was not around the house for a while. A search was mounted and he was discovered asleep in our neighbour's yard with the cat curled around him. We are not sure where he dug out but Dick spent the afternoon reinforcing our perimeter.
Perhaps I should take a lesson from Aris and make some new friends for the new year.

oh how sweet!!! That cat looks very large for a bim cat!
Let's hope the cat will come and visit him instead of the other way around :)

He is a large cat but was raised with a JR. Our neighbour warned, "You may touch the dog, but the cat bites." :)
