Why Wordways

At a UWI Caribbean Writers Summer Workshop given by Kendel Hippolyte, St. Lucian poet, I was asked to reflect on why I write. Wordways was the result.
Wordways
tic, tic, tic, tic
creeping the hand
completes a revolution
minutes turn hours
hours spent jotting
holding the past
probing the present
leaving words ....
words to lead
to me
in time.
